||DSSA National Show to be held in conjunction with the Toowoomba Royal Show
The Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland was founded in 1860 by a collection of gentlemen with forward thinking and a sense of vision. Their focus as is ours today is the promotion of agricultural excellence radiating from the Darling Downs and which we have continued for one hundred and forty - eight years. The Toowoomba Royal Show is the oldest event of its type in Queensland. In 1985 the R.A.S.Q. relocated to its current 245 acre purpose built site at Glenvale.
Twenty-five years have evolved since relocation to these grounds and it is still growing, offering a first class venue to event organisers across the country, with the inclusion of one of Queensland’s largest indoor equestrian facilities and sales complex.
The Toowoomba Royal Show comes under the banner of the Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland and for 2017 will be holding its 153rd show for the people of the Darling Downs and surrounding regions. The show is organised and run with the assistance of the General Committee and over 300 volunteers and staff.
Due to the size of these facilities we have made arrangements with a number of local groups and businesses to use particular areas of the grounds on a permanent basis.
